Research Support Awards Program

Established in 1994, the primary purpose of the Research Support Awards Program is to provide supplemental funding for military medical researchers at USU. Funds are made available three times per year (November, March and July) with the highest priority given to funding for emergency situations such as bridging grants between funding periods.

A committee, made up of the HJF Director of Intellectual Property, HJF Director of Education Programs and three members of the USU faculty (nominated by the Dean of the Medical School) evaluates funding requests on a competitive basis. HJF recommends that the maximum amount requested with each application not exceed $50,000, but requests for greater amounts will be considered under unusual and compelling circumstances.

For more information on these programs, please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs.
