HJF: Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine

Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine

The Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (CNRM) is a collaborative federal program joining clinicians and scientists across multiple disciplines to discover innovative approaches to traumatic brain injury. The center, headed by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, will draw on expertise from the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health as it performs important research in support of our nation’s servicemen and women.

In 2008, the DoD reported that 6,000 servicemen and women who served in the current conflicts have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury. Congress created CNRM as a cooperative scientific environment to move research from bench to bedside and to enhance scientists’ ability to successfully diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury.

You can become part of this dynamic effort in the burgeoning field of regenerative medicine. CNRM is actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows, research nurses and assistants, laboratory and clinical technicians, as well as other research support personnel, to join this cutting-edge field of study. The center has multiple openings within its basic science, translational and clinical research programs, including:

Positions are located at collaborating institutions in the National Capitol Area, including the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) in Bethesda, Maryland, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD, Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
