Non-Monetary Gifts
HJF can assist you with accepting non-monetary gifts such as reference books, computer components, medical supplies and equipment. Federal regulations prohibit government employees from soliciting funds from commercial or private sources, so it is imperative that when opportunities arise for this type of support, the commercial source is put into direct contact with the Education Programs Office.
You may encourage the commercial source to contact HJF directly or you may inform the Education Programs Office of the commercial source's identity and request that we contact them directly.
When requested, the Education Programs Office will contact the commercial representative and send a formal solicitation letter. No solicitation letters are written and distributed without the prior approval of the fund manager.
