HJF programs are funded by both federal and private sources, including the Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy, National Science Foundation and private companies, foundations and universities.

Over the years, HJF has established relationships with hundreds of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and all major military medical research institutes and treatment facilities around the country. HJF effectively links research and education needs with funding sources.
