Ramesh Natarajan, Ph.D.

Ramesh Natarajan, Ph.D., is a subject matter expert, scientific advisor and technical editor with over 20 years of research experience in various biomedical fields. He has extensive animal and clinical research experience and has conceived, designed, facilitated, implemented and managed multiple research studies through his work as a program manager with the Combat Trauma Research Group at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and as a principal investigator on grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense and the American Lung Association. Dr. Natarajan was also a professor of medicine and co-director of research at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Natarajan has served as a grant reviewer for NIH, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs and the American Heart Association. He also sits on several editorial boards, including the American Journal of Physiology and Frontiers in Bioscience.
Dr. Natarajan is available to consult with basic and clinical researchers on funding opportunity identification and project study design. He can also review and edit scientific documents for research grants, project reports and publications.
Bonita M. Singal M.D., M.S., Ph.D.
Bonita M. Singal, M.D., M.S., Ph.D., is a biostatistician and epidemiologist with more than 15 years’ experience collaborating with medical researchers in many disciplines including orthopedics, infectious disease, neurology, psychiatry, emergency medicine, pediatrics, surgery, intensive care and others, to design and analyze their research studies.
Prior to her career supporting academic research at University of Michigan and St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, she practiced emergency medicine for more than 30 years, including two years as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps at Brooke Army General Hospital.
Dr. Singal has consulted on outcomes research, clinical trials, diagnostic test and biomarker evaluation, clinical decision support, cost effectiveness, risk-adjusted quality of care and more. She uses a variety of statistical procedures including various randomization schemes, generalized linear models, survival analysis, logistic regression, propensity scores, machine learning, risk adjustment and Bayesian statistics.
Dr. Singal is available to consult with both basic science and clinical researchers on protocol design and development, outcome measurement, determination of clinically important effect sizes, sample size estimation, and statistical methodology and analysis. She can assist in grant applications, manuscript preparation and development of oral and poster presentations.
