Private Supporters
The Foundation was founded, in part, to foster cooperative relationships between the military medical community and the private sector. Because government employees cannot accept money or in-kind gifts from private sources, HJF serves a vital function by facilitating collaborative relationships between private industry, academia and military medicine.
HJF opens the door for military researchers to partner with the private sector. We manage Phase I-IV single- and multi-site clinical trials utilizing an established network of military medical centers across the country. We facilitate the transfer of useful new technologies developed in the military's medical laboratories to the marketplace, and enable private donors to support military medical education programs. Over the years, we have established enduring relationships with hundreds of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and all major military medical centers and facilities around the country.
If you are interested in supporting an education fund or endowment for the Uniformed Services University or another military medical facility, please contact our Education Programs Office.
Private research sponsors can contact our Office of Sponsored Programs to discuss basic and applied research programs and potential collaborations.
Private sponsors of clinical trials interested in working with military medical facilities should contact our Clinical Trials Department.
