Advancing the science of survival from severe infection and sepsis in resource limited areas. One Team!

Severe infection and sepsis take more than 11 million lives each year. The ATLAS team propels host-response science forward to understand the underlying biology of sepsis, identify risk earlier, guide treatment more precisely, and give patients a better chance of survival.

Together, we can advance host-response diagnostics and therapies with a shared purpose: enriching and saving precious lives.

Our Mission

Transforming care for the most difficult clinical cases requires more than a promising mechanism or a capable trial network. It requires a connection between a dedicated team, the people we serve, and a vast and powerful understanding of the underlying biology to which therapeutic solutions can be directed.

ATLAS converges those perspectives under one program. Our researchers, global partners, and clinical evaluation teams collaborate to develop meaningful questions, interpret patient variability, and design impactful studies that will have the greatest clinical impact for the patient.

We work alongside academic, government, international and biotech partners to connect transformational biology and host-response science with clinical evaluation. Our integrated research capabilities, curated patient data, world-class computational analytics, and global clinical network help promising solutions that will make a difference.

For partners, that means access to a diverse and integrated scientific team, not simply a study site or a dataset. For our mission, it means research shaped by our patient populations at their point of need.

Deliver sustainable solutions that mitigate the maladaptive host response to severe infection and sepsis, and transform the global standard of care.

Our Vision
A future in which precise, data-driven decisions guide severe infection care wherever patients are treated. We aim to connect biological insight, actionable diagnostics, and effective treatment strategies across civilian, military, and resource-limited settings.

How partners engage

An integrated perspective across development.

ATLAS connects discovery, validation, field evaluation, and clinical testing through a coordinated scientific framework, giving partners access to specialized expertise and capabilities across the research continuum.

Whether pursuing a shared opportunity or advancing an existing program, partners can engage ATLAS at any stage of development. By integrating insights from patient data, preclinical models, and clinical studies, we help inform critical decisions and advance the evaluation and fielding of diagnostics, therapeutics, and medical technologies.
