40 Years Advancing Military Medicine

United States

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) celebrated a 40-year milestone in 2023. The HJF Fiscal Year 2023 Impact Report, made available today, commemorates the many contributions HJF has made to military medicine since its inception in 1983.

Today, HJF is a trusted partner for the advancement of military medicine globally, acting as the interchange of expertise between the military and civilian medical communities, encouraging support for the biomedical sciences, and carrying out medical research and educational projects in conjunction with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) for the mutual benefit of military and civilian health as initially envisioned by Senator Henry M. “Scoop” Jackson and set forth into legislation by President Ronald Reagan.

Look through the interactive flipbook or download a digital copy of the Impact Report to follow the growth stories of the key HJF programs and learn about the resulting innovation occurring daily at HJF as we pursue our mission.
