HJF Names Marc De Serio New Chief Information Officer

Marc De Serio has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine from his previous role as Acting CIO, which he held since July 2022. He is currently a member of the HJF executive team, reporting directly to President and CEO Joseph Caravalho, Jr., M.D. 

Mr. De Serio, is responsible for HJF’s information technology and security architecture, ensuring its domestic and global IT systems remain current and secure. 

“I am happy to announce Mr. De Serio’s well-deserved promotion to CIO after several years as HJF’s Chief Technology Officer,” Caravalho said. “Marc has been steadfast in his commitment to excellence in all things IT-related. I am confident in our IT systems, now and well into the future, under Marc’s leadership.” 

Mr. De Serio has over 24 years of IT experience and holds a Master of Science in Technology Management. He is a member of several IT industry leadership working groups.
